GPS coordinates

In DroneMissions, every position within the 3D model is linked to GPS coordinates. This enables the accurate registration of objects and locations, making them easy to retrieve later.

How does it work?

  1. On the right side of the screen, click GPS
  2. The cursor changes into a column
  3. Left-click on a desired location in the model
  4. The GPS coordinates appear immediately on the right side
  5. You can:
    • Copy these
    • Use them to navigate to, for example, Google Maps

What does this mean in practice

  1. Every click in the model provides an exact GPS location
  2. Objects remain findable, even after construction is completed
  3. Ideal for underground or non-visible elements

Practical examples

Consider foundation piles, cables, or pipes. Once these have been placed and are no longer visible, you can use DroneMissions to see exactly where they are located.

Advantages

  • No dependence on drawings or memory
  • Reduced failure costs during excavation work
  • Always one reliable source of location data

In brief

DroneMissions ensures that important objects never “disappear,” but can always be found digitally at their exact location.
