Elevation maps

With elevation maps in DroneMissions, you can visually clarify height differences within a model. Through a color distribution, high and low points become immediately apparent. This makes analyzing terrain, objects, and structures clear and effective.

How does it work?

  1. Activate the elevation map in the menu
  2. Choose the desired color scheme
  3. Set the upper and lower limits (top and bottom layers)
  4. View the model with the applied elevation visualization
  5. Move the cursor over the model to view exact heights

What does this mean in practice

  • Height differences are immediately visible through color variations
  • You can determine how the elevation range is displayed
  • Identical heights are easily recognizable

Practical examples

With an elevation map, you can, for example, see how water drains across a surface, where subsidence has occurred, or how a terrain can be prepared for paving.

Analysis and display

  • The cursor displays the exact height at every position
  • Equal heights are visually grouped
  • Differences in height are immediately and clearly visible

Advantages

  • Rapid insight into height differences and gradients
  • Support for the analysis of drainage and subsidence
  • Visually compelling representation for reporting and decision-making

In brief

With elevation maps, you make height differences within the model visually insightful, allowing you to perform analyses on terrain and structures quickly and easily.
